You probably already know the transformative power of practice. No matter the activity, consistent effort and repetition build skills and confidence.
This is why the College Writing Prep Program contains practice exercises and quizzes to ensure that the lecture material leads to practical application for improved skills...because practice is about progress, not perfection.
The College Writing Prep Program is a self-paced, online sequence of modules covering some of the most common yet important elements relative to college-level reading and essay writing.
The Program is concise, reviewable, and easy to navigate, even for those not yet accustomed to studying in the online environment.
And with only 6 modules, the time commitment is totally manageable for even the busiest person!
Professor MJ believes in the power of education to change lives and strives to ensure financial constraints don't stand in the way of a person's growth and success.
To make my program accessible to everyone, I offer a sliding scale pricing model, so you can focus on what truly matters—your academic progress and goals.
Because no single program can meet every person's needs, I also offer individual tutoring to meet students exactly where they're at, no matter skill level or assignment.
So whether you have never written an academic essay before and are needing to catch up on some skills or you're more advanced but want to strengthen and capitalize on your current skillset, I can help guide you in the right direction so that you can reach your current assignment, academic, or aptitude development goals.
A longtime writer and college English instructor, I have been teaching writing and literature courses online and in person for colleges and universities across the United States for over 25 years now. I have taught and know well the standard curriculum of most undergraduate English courses, namely developmental English, English composition, American and world literature, creative writing, and business writing.
I created the Program after years of witnessing too many freshmen drop or fail their first-year writing courses for various reasons, including a secondary education that failed to prepare them with solid reading and writing skills suitable for future college-level work. To add to this problem, the increase in for-profit college programs with open-enrollment and no placement testing has been contributing to many students paying for courses they are not ready for and losing not only money but confidence in their abilities to learn! The College Writing Prep Program aims to prevent such scenarios.
Wishing you all the best,
MJ Stafford, MFA (Creative Writing), BA (Communications)
